The Shamy-Arabic edition of Leading to Choices (التوصل

القيادة) has been used in leadership training workshops in Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine, where participants learn to collaboratively work with one another and develop effective leadership and communication skills. Parliamentary elections have prompted Jordanian women to mobilize grassroots support for female candidates utilizing these new skills, and WLP’s workshops are a vital part of that mobilization effort. In Lebanon, leadership training workshops were conducted with young disabled women. One participant commented, “I have spent my life blaming myself and others for my disability. The workshop helped me change my perspective on my life. I now feel I have the strength to be an effective leader within my community.” Palestinian workshop participants deepened their understanding of ways to contribute to social and political development in Palestine. A young participant stated, “In this training, I found that I have leadership skills that I did not know I had before.” (142 pages)
